Brampton-en-le-Morthen
The township of Brampton-en-le-Morthen is a small village, two and a half miles east of Treeton. In 1851 there were 29 houses with 116 inhabitants.
Sir Reresby Sitwell was principal owner, but Mr. Sheriffe, Mr. Matthewman, Mr. Hadfield and the Rev. B. H. Birks also have estates here.
There is a small Wesleyan Chapel.
