Cacclyffe, Ulley, and Handsworth.

In September, 1561 Godfrey Foljambe of Walton, esq., leased a house and lands and Gowcke Carre Close, for 21 years, at 30s. per year to Thomas Lord of Brampton in le Morthing, yeoman. The land had previously been in the occupation of William Vescy in Brampton.
1583: Sir Godfrey Foljambe of Walton, kt. and Son and heir Godfrey F. Foljambe sold to George Lord,
Lord of Tankersley, Gowke Carre Close Meadow in Morthen for £80.

In June 1583 Sir Godfrey Foljambe gave the lease of a messuage called Cowperhouse, with lands, etc. in Brampton, for 21 years, at 20s. per annum, plus 3 rent hens and 3 rent capons, to Rob. Sheaperd of Ulleye, husbandman.
19 October, 1584: Godfrey Foljambe of Walton, son and heir of Godfrey Foljambe leased a capital
messuage and premises in Brampton-en-le-Morthen to Rod. Sitwell of Staveley, Netherthorpe, for £700.
